OLD TOWN – Rebecca “Becky” (Chadbourne) Caron, 60, departed this world May 30, 2008, to be with the angels she loved so much. Everyone who knew Becky could see the love in her. She is truly a unique Angel in God’s host of Angels. Becky left this earth with joy in her heart, thankfulness in her soul and a smile on her face, with the satisfaction of having done it her way. Becky was born Aug. 20, 1947, in Bangor, the daughter of the late Clifford Chadbourne and to Virginia (Trenholm) Tucker. Becky was raised in the Bangor area, attending local schools and graduating from Bangor High School in 1966. While she was at Bangor High, Becky was in chorus, Girls Hockey, Girls Basketball, Girls Volleyball, Girls Archery, Girls Track, Girls Softball, Library Assistant and Art Club. Becky loved sports of any kind, including just about every game or race that was on television. Becky accomplished many things in her life and she was proud of whatever she did. For many years Becky owned and operated a boat business. She was a certified engine mechanic, among many other awards for her dedication and commitment to her craft. Becky was also with Veazie Police Department from 1978 to 1987, Katahdin Chapter No. 121 OES, and received a certificate from the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and Homeland Security. She was secretary of MYF & GA, Penobscot Salmon Club, Penobscot CTY Bass-N-Fun, and she was very proud of her involvement with Hook-ed-on-Fishing Not on Drugs. Becky also attended and grad-uated with a certificate from Grace Evangelical Seminary, Bangor. Becky also was an ordained minister from a four-year online college. Becky studied at the Chaplain Intern Program at Eastern Maine Medcial Center with her mentor, Rex Garret. Becky is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Paul Caron; her sisters, Terri Chadbourne from Old Town, Brenda Chadbourne from Glen-burn and Dianna Chadbourne from Milford; her brother and sister-in-law, Dwight and Jimmie Chadbourne from Alabaster, Ala.; and brother and sister-in-law, Scott Tucker and Kristin Perry. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Becky was predeceased by her sister, Cathy Grant; and by her father, Clifford Chadbourne. At Becky’s request, there will be a private service at a later date at the Eastern Maine Medical Center Chapel, Bangor. Becky also wants to thank Bangor Area Visiting Nurses and Hospice. There were so many people from hospice that were caring, especially Jamie. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society, in the name of her relay for life team, Care “N” For a Cure.
