MADAWASKA – Reno O. Ouellette, 78, died June 18, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 18, 1927, in Edmundston, N.B., Canada, the son of Edmund “Eddy” and Olive (Sirois) Ouellette. He was employed at Fraser Paper in Madawaska for 45 years until his retirement in 1989. He served in the U.S. Army from 1944 until 1947 and was a member of the Thomas O. Cyr Legion Post No. 147 of Madawaska. On Jan. 17, 1948, he married Lorraine Soucy in Edmundston, N.B. He was an avid fisherman and hunter as well as a sports enthusiast. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lorraine (Soucy) Ouellette of Madawaska; four children, Bonita Cipriani and her husband, Todd, of South Kingstown, R.I. and their children, Nicole, Leslie and Thomas, Rebecca Calabrese and her husband, Ronald, of Enfield, Conn. and their children, Nicholas and Michael, Gilman and his wife, Bernadette of Lords Valley, Pa. and their children, Gilman Jr. and Dominique, Venessa Rohman and her husband, Kenneth of Topsham and their children, Emily, Nathan and Anna; three sisters, Annette Lebel of Ottowa, Ontario, Canada, Theresa Salibra of Stateville, N.C., Georgette Dupere of Kenora, Ontario; one brother, George Ouellette of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; one niece, Therese Labrosse of Ottowa, Ontario; several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Florence and Fernande; two brothers, Paul Emile and Fernand; and by a son, Martin Ouellette who died in 1991. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska. Friends and relatives may call at the St. Thomas Church from 10 a.m. until time of services on Saturday. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
