BRADFORD – Richard “Dick” A. McClure Sr. went to be with the Lord March 22, 2008, with his loving wife, family and friends at his side, at his residence, after a long courageous battle. He was born Dec. 10, 1952, in Bangor, the son of Roland and Irma (Adams) McClure. Richard had many passions in life; he loved to camp, fish and spend time with his grand-children. He also loved to party and make money. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda McClure; sons, Richard Jr. “Dickey” and his wife, Crystal, of Bradford and Erlon Cook Noyes of Bradford; daughter, April J. and her husband, Phillip Jones, of Ornville; brothers, William “Bill” of Brewer, Larry of Houlton and Roland Jr. “Bud” of Phoenix; sisters; Betty Simpson of Bedford, Va., Willa “Bickey” Poston of Culpeper, Va., Carole Perkins of Hampden, Wendy Hall of West Old Town and Tammy Cunningham of Corinth; grandchildren, Merina, Jamie, Meriah, Brandon and Justin; plus many nieces, nephews and special friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Roland and Irma (Adams) McClure; and brothers, Gerald Sr. and Herald “Hali.” Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 27, with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of Hermon Baptist Church, officiating. Internment will be after at Pine Grove Cemetery.
