ARGYLE – Robert Wayne MacArthur, 63, died peacefully Oct. 20, 2006, with family and friends by his side at his home. He was born June 2, 1943, in Bangor, son of Boyd MacArthur and Charlotte (Annis) MacArthur of Brewer. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Calcaterra. He owned and operated Bob’s Front-end Service for 25 years. He was a registered Maine guide and enjoyed hunting, fishing and flying, also spending his spare time with his two grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ann (Blackman) MacArthur; daughter, Sandy MacArthur; two grandchildren, Ashley Ann and Christopher Allen Roy Jr. of Bradley; one brother, Scott MacArthur with wife, Dawn, of Eddington; nephew, Aaron; niece, Heather; and their mother, Pam MacArthur of Eddington; three sisters, Sue Ann MacArthur of North Carolina, Cathy MacArthur of Bangor; three nieces, Brittney and Brianna of Texas and Angela of Florida. He was predeceased by his father, Boyd; one sister, Nancy. At Bob’s request there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers those who wish may donate to the American Diabetes Association.
