MARS HILL – Robert R. Doak, 68, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2005. He was born Oct. 25, 1937, in River De Chute Carlton County, N. B., Canada, the son of George and Grace (Fitzherbert) Kilcollins. Robert served his country for three years in the U.S. Army and then went on to work for several years at Valsings in Fort Fairfield, 22 years for Loring Air Force Base, both as an electrician and at the time of his death was working for S.A.D. No. 42 as a custodian. Bob loved his wife Judy very much and they spent many happy times camping and four-wheeling together. Bob also enjoyed working at S.A.D. No. 42 but had a love for the children in the school system. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy (White) Doak of Mars Hill; mother, Grace Kilcollins of Perth N.B. Canada; a daughter, Penny Anderson and her husband, Dale, of New Sweden; brother, Charles Doak and his wife, Nancy, of Clear View N.B. Canada; a half brother, Dawayne Kilcollins and his wife, Doreena, of Cross Lake; special uncle and aunt, Ed and Alta Rattary of Easton. Bob is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert Sr. and Harriet White of Mars Hill; brothers-in-law, Albert White Jr. of Mars Hill, Terry White and his wife, Paula, of Easton; sisters-in-law, Sandra Hawksley and her husband, Dick, of Presque Isle, Debbie Giberson and friend, Galen Holmes, of Mars Hill, Cindy Butts and her husband, John, of Brunswick, Ga.; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, an infant son and an infant brother, Merle Doak predeceased him. There will be no visiting hours. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, at the Central Aroostook High School with Pastor Larry Palmer officiating. Interment will take place at Kings Grove Cemetery, Mars Hill following the service. A time of refreshment and remembrance will be held at the Central Aroostook High School cafeteria following the committal. Those wishing to provide refreshments may take their items to the cafeteria at noon on Thursday. Donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the Educational Scholarship Fund, in care of S.A.D. No. 42, Attn. Roger Shaw Superintendent of Schools. Arrangements are in care of Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill.
