CORINTH – Robert Warren Ronco Sr., 78, died July 21, 2006, surround-ed by his loving family at a Ban-gor healthcare facility. He was born May 29, 1928, in Sangerville, son of George and Ardelle (Wentworth) Ronco. He graduated from Sangerville High School and received his bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Maine at Orono. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He taught school for more than 30 years, finishing his career in education as superintendent of schools in Corinth. He later worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 15 years, retiring in 1993. He loved his family and was a kind-hearted man, always helping others. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lorraine (Clukey) Ronco of Corinth; a son, Robert Ronco Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Etna; two daughters, Dawn Gelo and her husband, Bruce, of Kenduskeag and Cindy Lyford and her husband, Thomas, of Corinth; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Drew of Sangerville. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 24, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak St., Guilford. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Sangerville with the Rev. Fr. Paul Pare officiating. Burial will be at the Village Cemetery in Sangerville.
