FORT KENT – Roland Bard Sr., 81, beloved husband of Theresa (Nad-eau) Bard, died Dec. 8, 2003, at his residence. He was born July 5, 1922, in Fort Kent, the son of Victorie and Delia (Voisine) Bard. Roland was a World War II veteran, and served with Merril’s Marauders in Burma and Indo China. He was a member of the VFW Lozier O’Grady Post 9609 of Fort Kent. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Theresa, of Fort Kent; one daughter, Rose Marie Bard Kile and her husband, Paul, of Middletown, R.I.; three sons, Rocky Bard and his wife, Peggy, of Wallagrass, Roland Bard and his wife, Eva, of Fort Kent, and Joey Bard and his wife, Pam, of Fort Kent; four sisters, Jeannette “Bee” Bard of Fort Kent, Bernadette Bouchard and her husband, Bob, of Hallowell, Theresa Nadeau of Gray, Elsie Clark of Auburn; 10 grandchildren, Charlie, Tom, Sam, Emily, Jessica, Heather, Christopher, and Vicki Bard, Joey and Rocky Kile; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Willard, Joe and Tom Bard; and one sister, Eva Plourde. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. until time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial with full military honors will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, De. 11, 2003, at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating.
