WOODLAND – Ronald E. Doody, 71, husband of Viola ‘Frenchie’ Doody, died June 1, 2005, at Caribou, with his family and friends by his side. He was born April 20, 1934, in Caribou, the son of Ivory and Lela (Langley) Doody. Mr. Doody was a graduate of Caribou High School and was a self-employed farmer, potato grower and had raised cattle on his farm in Woodland for many years. Surviving in addition to his wife of more than 51 years, ‘Frenchie’ of Woodland; are his son, Larry of Woodland; and his daughter, Cheryl, of Dresden; five brothers, Dana Doody and his wife, Ina, Wendell Doody and Franklin Doody, all of Woodland, Michael Doody of Middletown, Conn., and Eveard Doody and his wife, Marie, of Bristol, Conn.; one sister, Linda McCrossin and her husband, Paul, of Presque Isle; five grandchildren, Tyler, Daryl, Chad, Sarah and Nicole; five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Doody was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Malen. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005, from the Woodland Cemetery with the Rev. Elden Wilcox, officiating. Arrangements by the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou.
