BLUE HILL – Roscoe Lewis Berry passed away Feb. 15, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 8, 1932, son of Arthur and Alice (Whitmore) Berry. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with family at his camp. He served our country in the Korean War and received the Bronze Medal, Korean Service Medal, Bronze Service Star, United Nation Service Medal and the Presidential Service Medal (R.O.K). He was predeceased by his wife, Loretta Ann Berry; and son, Bruce Elliot Berry. He is survived by his companion, Mary Soper; his children, Lois Dunbar and husband, Derek, Daniel Berry and wife, Florence, Dorice Black and husband, Thomas, Rusty Gordon and his companion, Tina Dorr, Romona Wade and husband, David and Howard Gordon Jr. and wife, Mary. Also survived by brothers, Roland Severance, Howard Berry and Jackson Berry; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Celebration of his life will be held 1 p.m. Feb. 25, at the Church of Life and Praise, Ellsworth, with Pastor Ray Stephens, officiating.
