ISLAND FALLS – Susan (Yanik) Seaman, 81, of Island Falls, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, after a short illness. Susan was born in South Amboy, N.J. and had a very active and energetic life with her beloved husband, Robert Joseph Seaman. Susan wore many hats, including working as an executive secretary for National Lead in New Jersey, cook and co-owner of a large restaurant in Pennsylvania and several small businesses in Island Falls. She later served on the board of the Northern Katahdin Valley Chamber of Commerce and enjoyed cooking, gardening and outdoor activities. Susan is survived by her children, Shawn Seaman of Portland and Robert Seaman of Island Falls; sisters-in-law, Ruth Yanik of Deerfield Beach, Fla. and Rita Seaman of Sayreville, N.J.; nieces, Barbara Stewart of New York City, N.Y., Donna Danforth of Staten Island, N.Y. and Denise Kaye of Raleigh, N.C. Services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls.
