RUTH E. WILLEY ELLSWORTH and CHERRYFIELD – Ruth E. Willey, 86, wife of the late Kenneth H. Willey, died Friday, May 28, 2004, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born Dec. 31, 1917, in Harrington, the daughter of Clarence M. and Mabel Z. (Lawrence) Dorr. Ruth was an assistant on the Cherryfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps for several years, and also worked in the town office in Cherryfield. Following the death of her husband, Ruth settled in Ellsworth, where she has lived for the past 15 years. She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Kingfisher, Okla. Ruth is survived by three daughters, Ellen Morang and her husband, Dean, of Ellsworth, Patricia Farnsworth and her husband, Barry, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Pamela Willey; two brothers, Lawrence Dorr and his wife, Evelyn, of Machias, and Richard Dorr and his wife, Peggy, of Ellsworth; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Ruth was predeceased by a brother, Merrill Dorr. Friends are invited to visit with the family 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, at the Forest Hill Cemetery, Harrington, with her son-in-law, Rev. Barry Farnsworth officiating.
