BANGOR – Ruth P. Beatham, 91, wife of the late Stillman Beatham, died Aug. 3, 2007, at a local health care facility. She was born June 1, 1916, in Fosterville, New Brunsiwick, the daughter of Elliott and Edith (Cochran) Carr. Ruth enjoyed her grandchildren, her pets, arts, crafts and also her coffee. She is survived by seven sons, Bill Beatham of Sacramento, Calif., Stephen Craig of Connecticut, Johnny Kimball of Ellsworth, David and Nettie Beatham of Eddington, James Beatham and Vickie of Old Town, George and Karon Beatham of Bradford and Larry and Joe Beatham of Fitchburg, Mass.; four daughters, Gertrude and Gerald Folster of Brewer, Phyllis and Nathan Turner of Bangor, Kathleen White of Bangor and Rose and Bob Dorrance of Plymouth; one brother, Alton Carr of Bangor; two sisters, Vergie Quimby of Orono and Nettie Thompson of Florida; 32 grandchildren, and lots of great-grandchildren. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
