ORLANDO, Fla. – Scott Titcomb Laliberte, 25, died unexpectedly Sept. 25, 2004, as a result of an automobile accident, in which he was a passenger. Born in Waterville, Oct. 15, 1978, a son of Dr. Peter B. and Donna S. (Titcomb) Laliberte. He was educated in Winslow Schools, where he graduated from Winslow High School, Class of 1997. Scott also attended Colby College, where he graduated in 2001 with a Bachelors Degree in Economics and a minor in Environmental Studies. Scott was currently a second year student at Palmer College School of Chiropractic Medicine, Port Orange, Fla. He was pursuing his career in Chiropractic medicine, which he loved. Scott was immensely loved by all of his family and numerous friends. He will be remembered as an exceptional spirit who lived life to its fullest. Many will remember his keen sense of humor. Scott was an exceptional athlete and scholar. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father and brother and the family ski vacations at their lodge in Carrabassett Valley. Scott was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Carl and Dorthea Titcomb, of Newport; and paternal grandfather, Alton G. Laliberte of Waterville. He is survived by his parents, Dr. Peter B. and Donna S. (Titcomb) Laliberte of Winslow; a brother, Douglas Peter Laliberte of Philadelphia, Pa.; paternal grandmother, Anita P. Laliberte of Waterville; many aunts and uncles, Robert and Marcy Laliberte, Terry McAvoy, Dean and Andrea Titcomb, Alan and Dottie Titcomb. Scott is also survived by many cousins, Kris and Amy Laliberte, Danny and Brady Titcomb, Angela St. Peter, David Titcomb, Matthew and Adam Schmitt. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at Colby College Chapel on the campus of Colby College. Public viewing will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday. A reception will follow at the Page Commons Room in Cotter Union at the College. Burial will be private at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, Newport. In lieu of flowers a Scholarship in memory of Scott T. Laliberte has been established, care of Colby College, 4350 Mayflower Hill Drive, Waterville, ME 04901. Arrangements are under the care of Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville.
