HAMPDEN – Selina Marie (LaBelle) Smith, 76, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 1, 2007, at a Howland nursing facility. She was born May 28, 1931, in Milford, a daughter of the late Dennis and Leona (LeBretton) LaBelle. Selina attended Milford and Old Town schools. She was married and moved to Buffalo, N.Y. She is survived by and will be sadly missed by her four children, sons, Wayne and companion, Ann, and Harold and wife, Danna and their children, Sara, Rebecca, Jacob and David; daughter, Marlene Ryan and companion, Ray and her sons, Michael and Kevin; daughter, Helene Smith, all of Buffalo, N.Y.; sisters, Rose Dyer of Greenbush, Sylvia LaBelle of Harmony and Kathleen Roy of Bradley; half sister, Leona Winslow of Bangor, Anna Carr and husband, Francis, of Old Town; one half brother, Robert Roy and companion, Bronwyn, of Bangor; one uncle, Louis LeBretton of Brewer. She will be greatly missed by a special niece, Diane LaGrosse; and sister-in-law, Linda Roy; many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Selina was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph LaBelle and Dennis LaBelle; and a half brother, Lawrence Roy. Selina’s family extends a special thanks to the staff at Cummings Health Care, Howland, for their wonderful care of Selina. A special nephew and godson, Pastor Walter Dyer will preside at a graveside service to be held 3 p.m. Friday, July 6, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Old Town.
