HOULTON – Shirley A. Carroll, 68, died May 7, 2007, at a local health care facility. She was born July 17, 1938, in Houlton, the daughter of Joseph R. and Hazel (Hosford) Carroll. Shirley was a communicant of St. Mary of the Visitation Church and was employed for several years with New England Tele & Tele Co., as an operator. She is survived by her sister, Pat Brown and her husband, Wayne, of Houlton; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Terrance Carroll, Paul Carroll, Richard Carroll, Robert Harrigan and Earle Harrigan; and her sister, Joyce Merritt. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery with Deacon Al Burleigh officiating.
