GLENBURN – Shirley Rose (Kyer) Brawn, 69, wife of the late Freeman Brawn Sr., died Sept. 24, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 3, 1937, in Bangor, the daughter of Thomas and Redita (Doak) Kyer. She was employed at Westgate Manor for many years. Surviving are five children, Freeman Brawn Jr. and his wife, Peggy, of Hudson, Dale W. Brawn and his wife, Janice, of Garland, Cheryl Brown and her husband, Stephen, of Glenburn, Gregory Brawn and his wife, Joanne, of Hudson and Jerome Brawn and his wife, Amy, of Glenburn; grandchildren, Scott and Brad Brown, Amanda Crawford, Freeman Brawn III, Matthew Brawn and Nichole Clark, Jonathan Brawn, Vincent and Robert Brawn and Thomas and Joseph Brawn; several great-grandchildren; and one sister, Cathy Rice of Brewer. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Kyer. Graveside services will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at Pleasant View Cemetery, Kelly Road, Glenburn.
