VAN BUREN – Simone A. Taillon, 86, died unexpectedly Jan. 10, 2005, at a Caribou hospital. She was born July 15, 1918, in Van Buren, the daughter of Clovis and Edwidge (Dumond) Corriveau. She worked and lived in Connecticut for many years prior to retiring to Van Buren in 1977. Simone was a member of the Evangeline Circle, Daughters of Isabella and Columbiettes Council 1635 of Van Buren. She was also very involved with the Heritage Vivant-Living Heritage Museum and Society and volunteered many hours with People Helping People Thrift Shop. She is survived by one daughter, Carline Thurston and her fianc?, Scot Allen Miner, of Canton, Conn.; one sister, Carline Boucher of Van Buren; one granddaughter, Renee Thurston. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Taillon in 1981. Relatives and friends may call at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. until time of service on Friday. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery.
