HILO, HAWAII – Stanley S. Skidgell, 56, died unexpectedly Dec. 11, 2007. He was born March 4, 1951, in Bangor, the son of Sterling and Virginia (Hamor) Skidgell. He served in the Marines for several years during the 1970s. He was predeceased by his father. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Tillinghast of Bangor; two daughters, Sherry Bedard and his grandsons, Devin and Corey of Levant, and Ilona Skidgell of Hilo, Hawaii; sisters, Joanne Bernatche of Winterport; his twin, Sharon McCay of Florida, Kathy Caver of Brewer and Carol McLaughlin of Gardiner; brothers, John of Holden and Benjamin of Florida; also two aunts, two uncles, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial will be held at a later date.
