MILBRIDGE – Stella May (Denbow) Brown, 76, passed away Aug. 27, 2007, in Dennysville, after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 14, 1931, in Lubec, the daughter of the late Arthur R. Denbow and Annie May (Wilmont) Denbow. Early in life, she worked at the sardine factories in the Milbridge area. Stella had a great love of animals, especially cats. She is survived by a sister, Virginia Francis of Bass Harbor; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Nolan and Ellen Rossi of Milbridge; and caregivers, Carrie and John Stanhope and Cassandra, all of Dennysville. She was predeceased by her husband, Philip Brown in 2000. A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge, officiated by Pastor Owen Beal.
