BANGOR and EAGLE LAKE Stephen Peabody, 59, died March 25, 2004, at a Fort Kent medical center. He was born June 27, 1944, in North Carolina. Stephen was the adopted son of the late Herschel E. and Ruth A. Peabody. Stephen was a resident in the Bangor area for most of his life and was a graduate of Bangor High School. He worked for 10 years in his father’s John Deere dealership as a mechanic and salesman. For a period of time he was unemployed and had several health problems and was transferred to Mercy Nursing Home in Eagle Lake, where he was a resident until his death. He is survived by a stepbrother, Roger Harris of Pennsylvania. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
