TERRY LYNN (VERMILLION) GOODWIN LEE – Terry Lynn (Vermillion) Goodwin, 50, passed away Saturday afternoon, Aug. 18, 2007, at Penobscot Valley Hospital, Lincoln, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Terry was born Feb. 18, 1957, in Lincoln, the daughter of Thomas and Sharon (Estes) Vermillion of Mattawamkeag. Terry graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in 1975. She will always be remembered as a kind, loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, friend and inspiration to all who knew and love her. From 1990 until 2002, she home schooled her children and served as a Sunday school teacher for many of those years as well. Her many hobbies included crafting, rug making, baking, gardening, quilting and knitting. She seemed to have a way with every thing she did. She loved animals as well and raised dogs, chickens, cows, turkeys and many cats over the years. She and her husband, Erland “Fred,” also have a camp, which is a special place where they liked to camp out, hike, build and spend quality time together. Terry devoted her life to her husband of 28 years, Erland “Fred” Goodwin Jr.; and was a loving mother to her three children, Victor Montelle Goodwin of Lee, Frederick Scott Goodwin of Lee and Dolly Jean Goodwin of Lincoln; grandmother of Jude Allen Powers, who she took great pride and joy in helping with the care of in the last two years of her life. She is also survived by two sisters, Sharon Vermillion of Mattawamkeag and Lisa (Vermillion) Farrash and her husband, Matt; and two brothers, Stewart Vermillion and his wife, Vicki and their four children, and Thomas Vermillion. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Silver Ridge Cemetery, Silver Ridge, with the Rev. Bruce Swan officiating.
