CARIBOU – Theresa Rita Jeanette Jackson, 54, wife of Hampton Jackson, died unexpectedly, Oct. 22, 2004, at Caribou. She was born at Eagle Lake, June 20, 1950, the daughter of Alfred and Beatrice (Petrie) Daigle. She was educated in the Washburn school system. Theresa was employed at Potato Service, McCain’s and Simplot for many years. For the past 11 years she was employed at Sleeper’s in Caribou. She attended the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Theresa was an active member of the Henry B. Pratt No. 15 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as past president and was also chairperson for the American Legion bingo. She was a member of the Northern Maine Dart League where she served as the leagues secretary and was a past member of the Maine-New Brunswick Dart League. Theresa was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She married Hampton Jackson on Sept. 30, 1966. Surviving in addition to her husband of Caribou, are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Hampton Raymond “Babe” and Lynn Jackson; Craig Preston Jackson and his special friend, Ashley Thibodeau all of Caribou; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Jo and Darin Thompson of Poland; one brother, Roger Daigle and his wife, Emily, of Washburn; four grandchildren, Preston, Nicholas and Hunter Jackson and Michael Girouard. She was predeceased by her parents; and infant son, Joseph Jackson; and by a brother, Raymond Daigle. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou, with evening prayer services being held at 7 p.m. by the officers and members of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with the Fr. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place at a later date at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou.
