BROOKSVILLE – Tom passed away unexpectedly Nov. 25, 2003, at Deer Isle doing the things he loved to do. He was born in Castine, July 28, 1952, to Lois Lucille (Bowden) and Roy E. Fowler of Brooksville. Tom coached little league for 11 years. He also coached junior high school baseball and was pitching coach at George Stevens Academy for two years. Tom, along with Gary Wilson, started the peewee basketball program. He worked at Camp Four Winds as caretaker for 33 years until it closed last year, having made some very special extended family members, Mrs. Grace McNeal, Cathy, Dan, and Ben Larson, Dave, Donna, Nathan and Clare McBeth, Gay and Bob Jones and family, Jim and Susan, Caroline and EB Melia and Gaven Sharp. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Margaret (Astbury) Fowler of Brooksville; sons, Mark and his friend, Beth, of Sedgwick, Jeremy of Brooksville and daughter, Lois (Fowler) Beaupain and husband, Jeremy, of Biddeford. He has left a very, very special granddaughter, Sage Louise Fowler and one sister, Bonnie (Fowler) Miller of Defuniak Springs, Fla. He is also survived by his mother- and father-in-law, Bernice and Tracy Astbury, of Sedgwick; sisters- and brothers-in-law, David and Ree Hamilton, Alden and Wanda Astbury, Scott and Tammy Astbury, all of Sedgwick; a special cousin, Scott Lymburner; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends, who will miss him greatly. Special notice to his “boys,” Matt, Beef, Carl, Arron, Damon, Frank, Andrew, Tony and Calvin. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Gladys (Damon) and Edward Bowden, Marjorie (Dodge) and Frederick C. Fowler; and a brother-in-law, Jim Miller of Defuniak, Fla. Friends are invited to call from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Healey Funeral Home, 141 South St., Blue Hill. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at Lake View Cemetery, Brooksville.
