OLD TOWN – Thomas H. Vaillancourt, 67, died peacefully March 14, 2005, at an Orono healthcare facility with his brothers and sisters by his side. He was born Nov. 24, 1937, in Old Town, a son of Harry and Leona (Levesque) Vaillancourt. Tommy was employed for more than 40 years at the Kagan-Lown Shoe Company. He was an active member of the Fr. Druillete Council Knights of Columbus of Old Town, where he served as bingo chairman for many years. He was a communicant of Holy Family Parish. He enjoyed golf, bowling, camping and fishing. He is survived by five brothers and their wives, John and Theresa Vaillancourt, James and Doreen Vaillancourt, Paul and Sandra Vaillancourt, Gene and Sheila Vaillancourt, and Ronnie and Brenda Vaillancourt; three sisters and their husbands, Maria and Wade Young, Helen and Greg Bosse, Mona Cyr; special friend and neighbor, Ben Bouchard; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where members of the Knights of Columbus will recite prayers at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Parish with the Rev.
