NEWPORT and LANTANA, Fla. – Travis Marshall Ware, 21, died June 7, 2007, as the result of a motorcycle accident in Lake Worth, Fla. He was born Aug. 5, 1985, in Stuart, Fla. He grew up in Newport and graduated from Nokomis Regional High School, Class of 2003. He resided in Lantana, Fla., for nearly three years, where he worked as a carpenter for his two uncles in their construction firm. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Sandra Marshall McKenzie and Rick McKenzie of Newport; his father and stepmother, Donald and Rachel Ware of Lake Worth, Fla.; the love of his life, Katie-Lynn Ham of Lantana, Fla.; his sister, Michelle Robinson of Port Salerno, Fla.; maternal grandfather, Billy Marshall of Orneville; paternal grandmother and stepgrandfather, Carole and Donald Towne of Green Acres, Fla.; paternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, Russell and Linda Ware of Charleston, S.C.; many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, including two special uncles, Alan and Dennis Marshall of Lake Worth, Fla. Travis loved all of the simple things in life and is loved and will be missed by all who knew him. As an organ donor, Travis will be a hero to those recipients whose lives were saved. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, June 17. Graveside committal services will be held after the funeral at Hillside Cemetery, Route 221, Bradford. A memorial service and celebration of his life will also be scheduled for mid-August for family and friends in the Lake Worth, Fla., area.
