EASTON – Our Mom Vaida F. Leach went home to be with her Lord, Dec. 2, 2003, after her courageous battle with cancer. She was a faithful wife to our Dad, Richard for 52 years and a wonderful Grammie and Great Grammie. She loved us all. She was born Dec. 10, 1933, in Easton, the daughter of Lincoln and Dora (Fuller) Flewelling. She graduated from Easton High School and lived in Easton all her life. She worked for Commercial Credit for 21 years and for ACAP for 19 years while raising her family. She was an unassuming lady who sacrificed for her family. Her joys included jig saw puzzles, scrabble, her church and her family, with special joys being her grandchildren and special little visitors. She will be missed but not forgotten by her husband, Richard of Easton; four sons, Alfred and his wife, Jackie, of Presque Isle, Rodney and his wife, Barbara, of Washburn, Paul and his wife, Peggy, of Hallowell, Kelly and partner, Sarah, of Lewiston; a special daughter, Karla Madore and her husband, Ronald, of Buxton; seven granddaughters, four great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters; a brother, Alfred Flewelling and his wife, Geraldine of Easton; three sisters, Phyllis Nadeau of Easton, Dorothy Larson and her husband, Wilmont, of Dover-Foxcroft, Doreen Jones and her husband, Lewis, of Ohio. She will also be missed by a special friend and visitor, Marie Hewitt. We want to thank all those who visited and called during her illness. Her church family was certainly a constant source of encouragement, support and help during this time, and also we would like to thank Hospice of Aroostook. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Friends may call from 2:30 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Estes Park Cemetery, Easton. A reception will follow at the Easton Wesleyan Church. In lieu of flowers those who wish may donate in her memory to the Easton Wesleyan Church, P.O. Box 15, Easton, 04740 or Hospice of Aroostook, P.O Box 688, Caribou, 04736.
