VICTOR ‘JOHNNY’ FICKETT MILBRIDGE – Victor “Johnny” Fickett, 82, went home to be with the Lord May 28, 2004, from an Ellsworth hospital, with his family at his side. He was born April 10, 1922, in Milbridge, the son of Herbert and Dora (Hartford) Fickett. He attended school in Harrington, and at a young age moved to Lubec to work in the sardine factory. At the beginning of World War II, he worked as a welder at the Portland shipyards building Liberty ships. He then entered the U.S. Army and served in Army Air Corp. until the end of the war. Johnny went on to work on at Cutler, were he worked on the Towers for three years. Following that he worked as a carpenter and around the water until he retired in the late seventies. Johnny enjoyed crafting and was well known for his clocks and miniature blueberry rakes. He attended the Faith Bible Fellowship for many years. He married his wife, Imogene Alley on Dec. 6, 1948, and together they were blessed with four children. In addition to his wife, Imogene, he is survived by his children, Daryl Reynolds of Vassalboro, Sandra Beal and husband, Jeff, Jon Fickett and wife, Betsey, all of Milbridge, Laurie Cirone and husband, Danny, of Addison; a special daughter-in-law, Brenda Beal and her husband, Randy, of Harrington; nine grandchildren, Larry, Jonathan and Katrina Fickett, Eve Beal Parkin and husband, Eric, and Denise Beal Goston and husband, Hartley, Gary Brooks and his companion, Tricia, Skye Cirone and Derrick Cirone and Lorna Brown and husband, Keith; five great-grandchildren, Ashton and Nehemiah Parkin, Joshua and Darian Goston and Jillian Brown; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Johnny was predeceased by a son, Larry, on January 23, 1998. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Milbridge. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at the Faith Bible Fellowship Church, 77 Back Bay Road, Milbridge, with Pastor Ambrose Rolfe officiating.
