ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Virginia Lambson, a Walpole, Mass. resident for 58 years and for 10 months in Alexandria, Va., passed away June 2, 2008. She was born in Addison, to Albert L. and Julia Hathaway Dalot.She was educated in Maine with a degree in education from the University of Maine. Virginia taught school in several Massachusetts towns, retiring as third grade teacher from Plimpton School, Walpole, Mass. She was a longtime member of United Church, Walpole, Mass., Order of the Eastern Star and Delta Kappa Gamma. She married DeWitt Lambson and raised two sons, DeWitt Jr. and Glenn, all of whom have predeceased her; as well as her brother, Philip L. Dalot. Virginia is survived by grandson, Jeremy Lambson of Alexandria, Va.; and her very dear friend, Sheryl Lambson, with whom she lived. Arrangements by Demaine Funeral Home of Alexandria, Va. A private burial will be held in Walpole, Mass., with a reception for friends and family 11 a.m. June 14 at United Church, Walpole, Mass.
