ALTOONA, Fla. – Vivian Richmond passed away May 23, 2005, at Lakeview Health Center in Altoona, Fla., following a three-month illness. She was born Aug. 5, 1911, at Machiasport, the daughter of Arthur M. and Lillian N. (Blackwood) Libby. Vivian was of the Baptist Faith. She was a graduate of Washington Academy and Washington State Normal School. Vivian received a bachelor of arts in education from the University of Maine. She taught for 38 years in Maine, Maryland, and Florida. Vivian was predeceased by her mother, father, and her husband of 36 years, Arnie Richmond. Those left behind to cherish her memories are cousins and friends. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2005, at the East Side Cemetery, Machiasport, officiated by the Rev. Bill Holmes. In lieu of flowers, contributions of sympathy may be made to the East Side Cemetery Association in Machiasport. Arrangements are under the care of Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Homes, Machias.
