PRESQUE ISLE – Wallace F. Willette, 69, died Saturday evening Oct. 23, 2004, at his residence in Presque Isle. He was born at Presque Isle May 19, 1935, the son of Wallace Sr. and Arlene (Dube) Willette. Wallace worked as a salesman for the John J. Nissen Bakery Co. for 26 years, and then worked as a carpenter for a number of years. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and former member of the Presque Isle Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife Elaine (Carney) Willette of Presque Isle; four sons and their wives, Christopher, Richard and Cheryl, all of Presque Isle, Timothy and Stacey of Washburn, Joseph and Lynn of Castle Hill; four brothers and their wives, Dana Willette of Texas, Carroll “Skip” and Sharon Willette of Mapleton, Gerald Willette of Caribou, Gary and Marilyn Willette of Presque Isle; two sisters and their husbands, Rita and Lowell Lannigan of Presque Isle, Barbara and Reynold Ouellette of Michigan; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. There will be private visiting hours for the family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Alfred Irving celebrant. Interment will be in North Main Street Catholic Cemetery, Presque Isle. Those who wish may donate in memory of Wallace to the charity of one’s choice.
