SALISBURY COVE – Walter E. Kelley Jr., 76, died Nov. 10, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1928, in Ellsworth, the son of Walter E. and Frances C. (Closson) Kelley Sr. Walter worked as a mechanic for many years at Bar Harbor Motor Company and Darlings Auto Parts. He also worked for Don’s Shop n Save. Walter adored his puppy, Picabo. He loved to play golf and go snowmobiling and he also enjoyed his early morning coffee at Dunkin Donuts. Walter enjoyed spending time with his children’s friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Lucille “Lucy” E. (Leighton) Kelley; one son, Dennis Kelley and his wife, Ellen, of West Tremont; and one daughter, Sharyn Kelley Farrin and her husband, Bruce, of Ellsworth; four brothers; David of Trenton, Jack of Ellsworth, Richard of Washingtonville, N.Y. and Rexford of Searsport; two sisters, Marilyn Blaisdell of Milford and Jill Banks of Hancock; four grandchildren; Kelley Paul, Heidi Davis, Stacey Herrick and Abby Kelley; and five great-grandchildren. Walter was predeceased by a daughter, Lori Jo Kelley. Friends are invited to call 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home, 48 Eden St., Bar Harbor, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday.
