DYER BROOK – Walter J. “Jimmy” Sanders Jr., 67, died Dec. 14, 2006, in Houlton. He was born Dec. 9, 1939, in New Limerick, the son of Walter J. and Florence (Rines) Sanders Sr. and was raised by Bill and Aubine Fox. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carleen (Grant) Sanders of Dyer Brook; three children, Wally and his wife, Becky Sanders, of Oakfield, Laureen and her husband, Richard Michaud, of Houlton and Danny Sanders and Michelle Hardy of Houlton; two foster children, Joshua and Melissa; five grandchildren, Derek, Jenna, Danielle, Ricky and Dannie Mae; one great-grandson, Wyatt; one brother, Willis Sanders of Florida; two sisters, Naomi Browning of Florida and Alice Chipman of Maine; and a special companion, Tiny. He was predeceased by one sister, Kathleen Roper; a half brother, Ralph Saunders; a half sister, Dolly Lang. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Bethel Pentecostal Church, Oakfield, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. with Pastor David Fox officiating.
