SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – William John McGarry, 87, formerly of Frankford, N.J., died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, after a long illness. Born in 1919, to John and Mary McGarry, in Belfast, Ireland, he then came to America through Ellis Island in 1922. He was in partnership for many years at Key Inc., Ledgewood, N.J., before moving to Phoenix, where he worked for Southern Directory Co., Inc. Mr. McGarry was predeceased by his wife, Joyce (Finelli) in 1990; his daughter, Bernadette in 2001; and two brothers, Thomas and Bernard. Mr. McGarry is survived by his three sons, Larry and wife, Teresa, of Hampton, N.J., James of Goodyear, Ariz., and Kevin and wife, Bernadette, of Howland; 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Eleanor of North Gilford, Conn. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crystal Rose Funeral Home, 9155 West VanBuren, Tolleson, Ariz.
