Zora E. McEachern, 97, of Presque Isle died Saturday, April 30, 2005, at a Portland nursing facility. She was born in Presque Isle the daughter of Lewis and Mertle Lovely McEachern. She was educated and a graduate of Presque Isle High School and a graduate of Maine General, where she studied nursing. Zora worked for a while in a doctor’s office, until World War II, where she worked in the operating room assisting doctors. Following the War, she worked in Central Supply at the Presque Isle Hospital until her retirement. She is survived by one niece, Joanne Beard of Portland; and nephew, Mark Lovely of Georgia along with many great-nieces and great-nephews. There will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. June 25, at the Fairmont Cemetery in Presque Isle, for Zora and her twin sister, Aura Lovely.
