ORRINGTON – Diane Briggs, 61, passed away Oct. 4, 2008, at her home. Di taught for 30 years in SAD 22 and was known by her students and fellow teachers as a tireless and innovative teacher. Her students will remember her as Mrs. Burke in Newburgh and as Miss Briggs in Hampden. She had many hobbies and interests that set her apart, be it her vast knowledge of oriental rugs, jazz or her love of cars and racing. She strove for excellence in everything she did. Her endless generosity and her irresistible energy will be missed by all that were lucky enough to know her.
