GLENBURN – Larry Wayne Hallett Sr., 66, died Nov. 3, 2008, surrounded by his family, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Oct. 8, 1942, in Bath, the son of John L. and Ella E. F. (Souther) Hallett. He graduated from Aroostook Central Institute and started H&H Plumbing with his friend and business partner, Alan Harvey. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling with cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska, camping, working in the garage, and riding around with Peabody. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Elaine (Emerson) Hallett; his children, Larry Hallett, Jr. and his wife, Glennis, of Bradley, Debbie Caldwell and her husband, Steven, of Glenburn, and Rodney Hallett and his wife, Belinda, of Milford; grandchildren, Mark, John, Rebbeca, A.J., Ryan and Shawn; great-grandchildren, Dominique and J.J.; stepmother, Villa Hallett; sisters, Joan White and her husband, Jimmy, Lolli Treadwell, Suzzanne Toussaint and her husband, Norman, Peggy Lawlor and her husband, Edward, Nancy Patterson and her husband, Bill, and Patricia Richardson; and brother, Roger Hallett and his wife, Janice Lee. The family thanks the staff at Eastern Maine Medical Center cardiac care for their special care and concern. There will be a gathering in his honor for family and friends 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at his daughter’s home, 49 Merryman Road. A service of Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
