MADAWASKA – Therese R. Lizotte, 80, died Nov. 4, 2008, at her residence. She was born Nov. 14, 1927, in Edmundston, Canada, the daughter of Arthur and Blanche Fortin. She is survived by two sons, David and his wife, Joan Lizotte, of Madawaska and John Lizotte of St. David; three daughters, Joyce Earle of Calais, Diane Graham of Montana and Joanne Hafford of Georgia; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; five sisters, Irene St. Cyr of Florida, Aline Pankey and her husband, Walter, of Mississippi, Claudette Rambush and her husband, Kent, of Florida, Jeannine Clark and her husband, John Marshall, and Janette Picard, all of Louisiana; and six brothers, Andre Fortin and his wife, Geraldine, Roger Fortin and his wife, Lorraine, all of Connecticut, Maurice Fortin of South Carolina, Patrick Fortin and his wife, Louiselle, of Madawaska, Louis Fortin and his wife, Marie Ange and Norman Fortin and his wife, Caroline, of Frenchville. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lionel Lizotte in 1988; by two sisters, Jacqueline Massey in 1999 and Beatrice Michno in 2002; and by six brothers, Adelard in 1938, Marcel in 1993, Leandre in 1984, Gerard in 2001, Conrad in 2006 and by Gaston in 2008. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at St. David Church. Friends and family may call 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Daigle Funeral Home, Madawaska. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daigle Funeral Home.
