ETNA – John Paul Watson, 18, died unexpectedly Nov. 8, 2008, in Bangor. He was born April 1, 1990, in Beaumont, Texas. He was the son of Andrew T. and Laurie (Demmons) Watson. John was a June 2008 graduate of Nokomis Regional High School, Newport. While at Nokomis he was a member of Nokomis Varsity Soccer team. Soccer was John’s passion and he could play any position. He was also a member of Nokomis Varsity Baseball team, playing in the outfield. He loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing. He especially liked his lawn mower. He was also a member of Boy Scouts of America for several years. John had worked for Brent Grover helping with his landscaping business. He also worked with his father on the family farm. Jon was a freshman at Husson College, Bangor. He is survived by his parents, Andrew and Laurie Watson of Etna; one sister, Tasha Lynn Watson of Etna; three brothers, Michael Watson and his wife, Jenny, of Palmyra, Dan Randall and his wife, Katie, of Swanville and Keith Giroux of Carmel; one niece, Megan JoAnn Watson of Palmyra; maternal grandparents, Jack and Nita Macdonald of Tucson, Ariz., and Ken and Jean Demmons of Dixmont; and paternal grandparents, Thomas Watson and Beverly Corliss of Belleview, Fla., and Charlie and Joan Henderson of Salem. Also surviving are special uncles to John, Eric Macdonald and his wife, Monica, of Etna and Jeff Watson and little buddy, Ben, of Newburgh; many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends too many to name. John had many influential people in his life including, Tim and Joyce, Missy and Kerry, Jodi and Richard and Vicky and Tim. The Haverly-Johndro family, Patti, Percy, Nig-Nan, Brock, Brody, and his best friend, Cody, will always be remembered and loved. He will also be remembered by his extended biological family. A celebration of John’s life will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Nokomis Regional High School, Williams Road, Newport.
