BANGOR – Robert F. Thompson, 68, died Nov. 13, 2008, in Brewer, after a long ilnness. He was born May 30, 1940, in Lincoln, the son of Arthur and Charlotte (McAloon) Thompson. Robert attended schools in Brewer and Lee, and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1963. He was a longtime employee of LCP Chemicals, Orrington and also worked for many years for Uniship. He was a member of Ralph J. Pollard Lodge No. 217, AF & AM, Orrington and Anah Temple Shrine. Surviving are two children, Robert L. Thompson of Holden and Heather E. (Thompson) Smith and her husband, Millard, of Windham; four grandchildren, Colleen and Allison Thompson, Elizabeth and Gabrielle Smith; one sister, Cheryl Currie and her husband, David, of Florida; nieces and nephews. Robert’s family especially thanks the staff of Brewer Rehab & Living Center for the excellent care and support that was given. Services will be private.
