HOULTON – June G. Weston, 78, wife of the late Shirley T. Weston, died Dec. 5, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 12, 1930, in Houlton, the daughter of Fred and Elissa (Graham) Graham. June attended Houlton schools and graduated from Ricker Classical Institute. She was employed several years with New England Telephone Co., then SAD 29 and most recently the U.S. Federal Government. She was a member of Military Street Baptist Church, and for many years served as a chair member and a Sunday school teacher. She is survived by two sisters, Gail. M. Dow of Canterbury, New Brunswick, and Shirley Robertson of Kirkland, New Brunswick; two sisters-in-law, Shirley N. Graham of Woodstock, New Brunswick, and Dorothy Weston of Houlton; two very special girls, Judith Metcalf and Carol Westerdahl; a special young man, James McBride and his wife, Linda; four nieces, four nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several cousins, of whom Blake MacPherson and Jean Lyon, were especially close. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Houlton Court Street Baptist Church.
