HOULTON – Donnie Ross, 72, died Dec. 19, 2008, at his residence. He was born March 20, 1936, in Houlton, the son of Kenneth L. and Sarah (Woodworth) Ross. Donnie was the owner and operator of Ross’s Market for several years and worked 10 years for A.E. Staley. He was a past member of the Masonic Lodge of Masons, and to many of his friends and acquaintances was commonly called the “Mayor of Paddy’s Hollow.” He is survived by five sons, Donald Ross Jr. of Colorado, Daniel Ross of Caribou, Darrell Ross of Brewer, Dana Ross and Darren Ross, both of Houlton; one daughter, Jody Sinclair of Brewer; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends may call noon until the time of services 1 p.m. Sunday at Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
