WINDHAM – Kyle Daniel Rogers, 15, of Autumn View Drive, Windham, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, as a result of a tragic snowmobile accident in Portage. Kyle’s passion for snowmobiling was known to many and he lived for the day he could ride his sled “up to camp.” Kyle was born in Portland, the son of Daniel K. and Sandra L. (Hatt) Rogers. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Bryanna Lee Rogers; and his loving dog, Sierra. Kyle was a sophomore at Windham High School. Kyle’s footprint on this Earth was big. He left behind many dear friends and a loving family. He had an infectious smile and a huge heart. He had an incredible sense of humor that could turn any situation into a big smile. His love of life was apparent to all who met him. He was a lover of snowmobiles, dirt bikes, Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, his Super Chevy truck and anything with a motor on it. His love for his family was intense and there was nothing he loved more than spending time with family and friends. He touched many hearts with his engaging personality. His circle of friends was expansive. Among those whom he loved the most were his favorite “Uncle Woody,” Kevin Wood; his “big brother,” Travis Jacobs; his second family, Bobby, Carla, Kelsey and Bradley Babb; his best friend and cousin, Christopher Hatt; and his beloved girlfriend, Lindsay Webber. No words can describe the loss they, as well as many others, are feeling at this moment. He was extremely close to his parents, referring to each one as his hero. He was such a loving son who truly enjoyed spending time with his parents. He and his dad were best friends, who enjoyed many hobbies together. His dad taught him the knowledge he carried in anything mechanical. It was amazing how much he knew at such a young age. His mom instilled in him the beautiful heart that he had. Kyle took pride in being a great son. His love for his parents was never anything he hid. He loved completely and with his whole heart. He was a son to be proud of and the hole left in their hearts is indescribable. Kyle leaves behind his dad, Daniel, of Windham, along with his wife, Sue; his mother, Sandie and her partner, Perry Schlanger, with whom he resided; his sister, Bryanna; and his puppy, Sierra, who loved him dearly. He also leaves behind his stepbrother, Jarrett Beaulier; and stepsister, Allyx Beaulier of Nashville Plantation. He leaves behind his loving grandparents, Arthur and Ginger Hatt of Westbrook, and Keith and Janice Rogers, of Windham; his uncle and aunt, David and Linda Hatt of Windham; his cousins, Chris and Stephen; his aunt, Vickie MacDonnell of Windham; along with his cousins, Dee-Jay McPhail, and Andrew and Garrett McDonnell of Windham, with whom he was very close to as well. Kyle’s life was filled with many happy memories with many people, too numerous to mention. Each person he met walked away knowing that they’d just met a special person. His life was full and it was happy. We all hold special memories of Kyle within our hearts. We just know he’ll be with us always.
