CHARLESTON – Michael S. Stevens, 59, husband of Bonnie Anne (Beal) Stevens, died Feb. 3, 2009, at a Boston hospital. He was born June 26, 1949, in Spartanburg, S.C., the son of Ross and Havolyn (Chubb) Wolfe. After school, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard, attended electrician’s school in New York City, served one year Laran duty in Attu, Alaska, and after four years was honorably discharged as an electrician’s mate third class, E-4. He attended Andover College, Portland, studying major electronics and worked in the electronic repair service field most of his life, including 14 years as a copier repair technician. Other interests included fishing, camping and studying astronomy with his telescope. He was an active member of Charleston Pentecostal Church. Surviving, in addition to his wife of Charleston, whom he married June 11, 1972, are six brothers, Thomas Sing, Donald Sing, Steven Sing, Robert Sing and John Sing, all of Jacksonville, Fla., and David Sing of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Judy Sing of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Jeannie Mayfield of Jacksonville, Fla.; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of services 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Charleston Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Matthew Ward officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to join them after the service in the fellowship hall for a time of refreshment and reflection. Spring burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Orono. Those who wish may make donations in Michael’s memory to Charleston Pentecostal Church, 185 Main Road, Charleston, ME 04422.
