MERRIMAC, Mass. – Mrs. Linda A. (Boullie) Seymour, 62, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 17, 2009, at Lahey Clinic, Burlington, Mass. She was born Nov. 17, 1946, in Worcester, Mass., daughter of Lois (Bates) Boullie of Island Falls and the late George W. Boullie. Linda was educated in the western part of the state and was a graduate of Leicester High School, Class of 1964. For several years she was employed as a nurses aide at St. Vincent’s Hospital and later at the former Hale and Amesbury hospitals. A Merrimac, Mass., resident for the past 41 years, she had been the police clerk and dispatcher for Merrimac Police Department for the past 34 years. Linda was recently elected selectman for the town of Merrimac. She was also a former trustee at Merrimac Public Library and most recently served as the secretary of Merrimac Lions Club. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of 40 years, James M. Seymour of Merrimac, Mass.; a son, James G. and his wife, Gretchen Z. Seymour, of Lake Bluff, Ill.; a daughter, Julie A. and her husband, Robert V. Hennessy, of DeLand, Fla.; a sister, Sandra L. and her husband, Malcolm Rockwell, of Island Falls; four grandchildren, Morgan and Nicholas Hennessy, Hadley and Bridget Seymour; and a niece, Leanne and her husband, Joseph White. At her request, calling hours have been omitted. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to her funeral 11 a.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Congregational Church, Merrimac, Mass. Spring burial will be at Locust Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Linda A.
