BUCKSPORT – Delores W. Sheehan died March 5, 2009, with her loving family by her side at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 13, 1933, the eldest child of Everett and E. Ruth White. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph Sheehan; children, Nancy and Arnold Burgess, Kathy and Les Eadie, Delores and Jerry Giles, Marie and Tim Bernard, Cheryl Simpson, and Joseph and Carol Sheehan; grandchildren, Jeremy and Tina West, Todd Burgess, Tisha and Brad Kuchta, Lee and Brooke Eadie, Jenni and Jason Paquette, Warren Giles, Timmie Bernard, Anna Bernard, Danny Bernard, Rose Simpson, Janna Simpson and Brian Sheehan; great-grandchildren, Mandi Mitchell, Brendan Porter, Ashleigh West and Makenzie Bernard; sister, Darlene and Mahlon Bickford; brother, Leslie White; brothers-in-law, Charles and Deanne Sheehan, Colin Sheehan and Lou, and Don Sanders; sisters in-law, Irene and Frank Deneault, Barbara O’Connor and Sandy White; numerous nieces and nephews. Delores will also be remembered by her dearest friends of 50 years, Cleve and Charlene Kennedy; and numerous friends who have been touched by her through the years. She was predeceased by her mother and father; sister, Bunny Sanders; and brother, Howard White. If the life you live is the lesson you teach, then she taught us well in kindness, optimism and finding contentment in life’s daily simple pleasures. Visiting hours will be held 1-4 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bucksport. Interment will be at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Augusta, at a later date.
