LIMESTONE – Marie G. Cote, 91, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009, surrounded by her family at her residence. She was born Jan. 27, 1918, in Drummond, New Brunswick, the daughter of Joseph and Anne (Daigle) Cote. Marie prepared school lunch at Limestone Elementary School for nearly 20 years and also in her spare time enjoyed fly-fishing. She was a communicant of St. Louis Catholic Church, as well as a member of Daughters of Isabella and Ladies of St. Anne. She is survived by three children, Theresa Poitras and her husband, Garth, of Feasterville, Pa., Galen Cote and his wife, Michealla, of Presque Isle and Linda Greene and her husband, Stephen, of Limestone; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind nine siblings, Cecile Michaud, Atoine Cote, George Cote, Maurice Cote, Philip Cote, Helen Michaud, Gemma Raymond, Adele Pelletier and Jakie Theriault; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles P. Cote; a daughter, Rachel Mae Dairo; four brothers, Louis Cote, Lionel Cote, Adrian Cote and Gildore Cote; and two sisters, Ida Deuville and Demrise Cote. Friends may call 9-10:15 a.m. Monday, March 9, at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone, with the Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, celebrant. A reception will be held after the service in the church fellowship hall. Interment will take place in the spring at St. Louis Cemetery, Limestone.
