VAN BUREN – Amanda E. Hudson, 87, died unexpectedly March 15, 2009, at a Caribou hospital. She was born Aug. 13, 1921, in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, the daughter of Francis and Flavie (Devost) Gauvin. She had lived in Massachusetts for most of her life, working as a registered nurse. She is survived by her husband, Malcolm Hudson of Van Buren; one daughter, Sandra Dwinells of Berlin, Mass.; one sister, Noella Gauvin; one brother, Antonio Gauvin, both of St. Leonard, New Brunswick; one grandson, Mark Dwinells; and one great-grandson, Mark Dwinells Jr. She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister, Rudolph, Zeno and Celine. There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Interment will be later this spring at Grande Riviere Cemetery. Arrangements are a service of Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
