FRANKLIN – Patrick Scott Willigar, 29, passed away in his home unexpectedly Tuesday, March 10, 2009. He was born Jan. 30, 1980, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Linda A. Willigar and grandson, of Robert and Patricia Willigar. Patrick was a talented young artist, poet and beginning business entrepreneur. He advocated for the homeless in Portland and for several prisoners, whose rights were being violated, including his own. Patrick was not without his problems, but tried to come pass them and help to get the services and support necessary for people in prison who needed treatment for mental illness and drug addiction. His assistance will be missed by the community. He is survived by his beloved mother, Linda; beloved grandmother, Patricia; brother, Andrew; nephew, Tyrell; uncle, Wayne; and godmother, Betty, who will severely miss him. There will be no services. Patrick, as well as his mother, believed there are truths in all religions. There will be prayers said for Patrick in several churches, including the St. Patrick’s Day Mass at Carmelite Church, Dublin, Ireland, and his family would appreciate any prayers said for him by those of all faiths.
