FORT FAIRFIELD and ALLAGASH – Kathryn J. Graves, 59, wife of the late Chester A. “Buster” Graves Jr., passed away Saturday morning, March 28, 2009, at a Mars Hill health care facility, after an extended illness. She was born May 20, 1949, in Allagash, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Hug-hes) McBreairty. Kathryn was educated in the Allagash school system and attended the University of Maine – Presque Isle for two years. She was a member of Fort Fairfield United Pentecostal Church, where she participated in Church Bible Study sessions. Kathryn was married to Chester A. “Buster” Graves Jr., April 8, 1992, and will be remembered by her family as a faithful and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Graves was predeceased by her husband, Buster, May 19, 2008; three brothers, Clarence, Donald and Henry McBreairty; three sisters, Hilda Johnston, Judy Cyr and Leona Burt; and a sister-in-law whom Kathryn loved as a sister, Lola McBreairty. She is survived by one son, Toby Boyce and his wife, Kelly, of Winchester, Calif.; two daughters, Nicole Lovering and her husband, Michael, currently residing in Bitburg, Germany, and Mandy Boyce and her fianc?, Daniel Patterson, both of Mars Hill; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Eldina and Pat Jandreau, and Beverly and Roger Raymond, all of Fort Kent; four grandchildren, Liam and Koen Patterson, both of Mars Hill, Megan and Matthew Lovering, both of Bitburg, Germany; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, March 30, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield. The funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Fort Fairfield United Pentecostal Church, 37 Currier Road, Fort Fairfield, with the Rev. Ronald Doughty officiating. Interment will take place at the Northern Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Caribou, at a later date. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held in the church fellowship area immediately after the funeral service.
