MADAWASKA – Nancy M. (Raymond) Golembesky died May 14, 2009, at Forest Hill Manor after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 31, 1961, in Fort Kent, to Alsime “Babe” and the late Mary (Marin) Raymond. Nancy was a lover of the outdoors, especially flowers and birds, loved to joke around with her family and friends, loved to dance, play bingo and poker. Always with a smile on her face, Nancy touched countless lives through her years of school, softball, work and several years with Fort Kent Jaycees, going to her son’s Boy Scout outings and being a wonderful person everywhere she went. Most of all, she adored her two beautiful sons. Nancy will live on in the hearts of her great circle of family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Wade Joshua Golembesky; her two sons, Zeke, 10, and Gryphon, 8; her many sisters and their spouses, Jeanette and Bobby Michaud of Frenchville, Linda and Roland Jandreau of Presque Isle, Judy and Jim Chasse of Fort Kent, Patsy and Herb Albert of Frenchville, Paige Lisa Raymond and Dean Pearson of Brewer, Mona and Mike McCormick of Orrington, and Donna and Elmer Thibodeau of Madawaska; and one brother, Gary and Gail Raymond of Fort Kent. She is also survived by a soul sister, Judy (Jandreau) Ouellette and her husband, Jamey, of Fort Kent; several adoring nieces and nephews, Brandon, Bradley, Michael, Kevin, Whitney, Christopher, Derrick, Natasha, Shayne, Hunter and Mathew. She also leaves behind her mother-in-law, Diane; and a brother-in-law, Matthew Golembesky; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, whom she all loved tremendously. Nancy joins in heaven her mother; her brother, Steve Raymond; and father-in-law, Gregory Golembesky. A church service will be celebrated 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, at St. John Vianney Catholic Parish – St. Louis, Fort Kent. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Family and friends may call for memories and refreshments 4-8 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at the family home, 573 Gagnon Road, Madawaska. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Edgar Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Arrangements are being handled by Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
